I think the Ex dividend date will be 12/15 not 11/25
as many think. The reason is they said the amount
of the dividend will be announced on 12/2 so on 11/25
the amount of the dividend will not be known...

Short interest is mostly convertible bond holders.
While the stock probably will drift lower after the
dividend it may run up before the dividend. And yes,
shorts have to pay the dividend.
