I agree with all your comments. I subscribe to the
letter, I like it and I own the preferred stock. Be
aware that it is callable at $25.00, so I wouldn't
chase it above 25.

The reason the yield looks low in comparison to canroys
is that ENY owns canroys and oil & gas companies like
Canadian Natural Resources and Suncor. I wish there
were an ETF...

There may be limit on the amount of income you can
collect from MLP's in an IRA without paying tax
on it. The rules say any unrelated taxable business
income in excess of $1,000 will be subject to tax

More or less common. SH should go the opposite direction
to the S&P index by the same percentage, but it never
tracks perfectly.

You can buy back the call and then sell the underlying
stock.I usually prefer to let the call expire worthless
unless I really need the money or I am anxious to
get out of the stock.

Distribution
Peyto's BOD reduced the distribution from 0.15
to 0.12 Canadian per unit beginning with the March
payment. Not too bad, considering the way gas prices
have plunged.

The net time you get something from the fund talking
about a distribution, note the percentage of the total
that is return of capital. I am not familiar with
this fund, but I owned another Eaton Vance fund..
