If you want to keep it in the Franklin Templeton family then the Templeton Income fund would work. It is listed as a Global Income fund. A share ticker is TINCX or C share is TCINX.

Do not compare this fund to a stock index that consist of 30 stocks. Remeber this fund has equity and debt. The bond market was up today hence the hedge against the decrease in equities.

Why are you benchmarking this off the DOW. You need to benchmark this fund off of a blend of 60% S&P and 40% LB aggregate bond Index. You cannot compare this fund to a 30 stock index
