(pretax and aftertax) as a proxy for ROIC: pretax
ROA from '99-'08: -2%, 5%, 5%, 6%, 11%, 15%,
17%, 12%, 9%, 9% = 9% median aftertax ROA 99-'08:
-2%, 4%, 3%, 4%, 5...

you eps is way too high. how is nearly 10% debt (9.125%
at 3% discount) attractive debt? especially if they
are paying off 3 to 5% debt?

agree, that article is just wrong. MetaBank provides
JH funding for paystub loans with no change this year.
Meta's balance sheet is way too tiny to fund even
a small part of the RAL business.
