GIM vs TEGBX
GIM is the closed end fund equivalent of Templeton's
Global Bond Fund, TEGBX. I believe the portfolios
and performance are identical. And XGIMX is a non-tradable
NAV index of GIM. XGIMX...

Re: Compare GIM to TEGBX
I think you hit my head on the nail. GIM pays a higher
dividend to offset the higher risk. I imagine the
funds are managed similarly and possibly by the same

Re: Compare GIM to TEGBX
Just looking at the Yahoo profile, both securities
pay a monthly dividend of about $.04 per month but
GIM's price is about $9/share and TEGBX is about
$12/ share. What am doing wrong...

Compare GIM to TEGBX
I don't understand why the yield on GIM is so much
higher than TEGBX. Both pay about a 4 cent monthly
dividend, but GIM price is 9.24 and TEGBX about 12.48.
Aren't the holdings of both...

Why the drop?
Anybody have an idea about why PFL has dropped so much
over the last week or so? I did notice that the NAV
has dropped, down to $7.04 as of yesterday. Do you
think there is there...

Re: Effect of the announced $0.88 dividend??
I think that if you took the distribution and used
all of it to buy more shares you're value would
be right back where you were before the distribution
as if nothing happened...

Re: Any upside?
Thanks for your input. This outcome is just one tangible
and painful example of the "deleveraging"
process that has to be accomplished to reset the financial
markets...

Re: Any upside?
No, you aren't the only one. There is almost no
way to find out what the managers of this etf are
doing that I can find. They communicate essentially
nothing for public information. We have no idea w
hat...
