1.  Re: Let&&39;s Do Some Math
Hedge your position. 1) Sell short JNK or HYG. Not advisable now since they got killed today and are both trading well below their NAV. 2) Short the Russell 2000 - highly correlated to...

2.  Anybody know what&&39;s up? SLS & DRP next?
9% up in one day. Someone has decided the discount to NAV is just a bit excessive. SLS & DRP could follow. Now 12% up as I type.

3.  Re: stress test
That is just a slight exaggeration. With just the yield alone (no price appreciation) you will have your money back in less than 3 years. If you get lucky it will take less than 2.Still like HY in tax free accoun t...

5.  I see the 30s
Shorting Real Estate is the most crowded trade in the market. If we get a rally in the S&P back to 1000 (which many people I respect are now predicting) then SRS is...

6.  Checkout SLS & DRP if you like AWP
Similar investment category - bigger discount to NAV - no leverage - lower expense ratio. Not saying AWP isn't an interesting investment here too. I like them all.

7.  SLS & DRP over a 20% discount on many of the same properties
Just hedge out the U.S. portion (SLS 19% - DRP 28%) by shorting IYR or VNQ or buying some SRS and voi la.

9.  Re: Here is the trade.
The correlation has been very high. One day, week, month, doesn't really mean anything. Go overlay the graph of IWM with VWEHX or JNK and it becomes obvious. However, you could short HYG or JNK inste ad...

10.  Here is the trade.
Buy VWEHX (or your preferred junk bond fund) in a non-taxable account. Buy TWM in a taxable account. You need about 2500 of TWM for every 10000 of VWEHX. (the Russell 2000 and junk bonds have a very high correlation). Now if...
