thank you ron. i've also done some research and
your points make sense. i bought today for the next
div (ex-date probably sometime duting 4.1 - 4.3)however
we'll see how this goes and maybe will keep..

we rally tomorrow. You must be nuts to be shorting
financials right now. There is soo much medicine already
in the system and more to come. Plus, people forget,
UYG is down 90% YTD....and at...

i think yield is currently inaccurate. lately, lots
of financial companies cut their dividends so it will
affect yield going forward. regardless, div payment
is small...

the ex-date is most likely 3.25.09. what it means,
basically hold your position until 3.26.09 and you
will receive a dividend payment. However dont expect
much....probably somewhere between 1.5 cents - 3.

I am still not buying this rally
but It looks like we may touch 800 before selling or
pulling back. Regardless, up 15%+ in last 7 days,
seems a bit too much. CPI and jobless claims are due
tomorrow...

i can't find any news on 3.12.09 meeting. at this
point, it probably makes sense to suspend the FAS159
rule, however it would still be a risky bet to buy
prior to their decision.
